Mount Michael

Tom Kenny '07 & Eric Patton '04 Flourishing
at West Point Academy

In A recent letter from Tim Kenny the father of Tom, the Mount was informed that both of Mount Michael's Cadets are doing well.

Letter: Cadets Kenny and Patton are doing well at West Point. This was a picture of our picnic Saturday on the Hudson River after the "acceptance day" parade. Acceptance day is the event after cadet basic training where the New Cadets are accepted into the Corps. It is an impressive and moving ceremony.

Both Tom and Eric validated a whole year of history (thank you Mrs. Dowd!). Tom validated a semester of calculus and a semester of chemistry and starts today with a full load of sciences, English, Political Science and Geography (also know as "dirt"). He is putting off languages for a year trying to pick from Chinese, Arabic or Spanish.

Eric Patton is thriving. He has just returned from a semester of study in China. He is also a master scuba diver and will graduate this year with a degreee in Chinese languages. The West Point foreign language department is world renown.

Both Eric and Tom appear to be thriving at West Point!

Please share the picture and our appreciation with the faculty....
