Daniel Hendrickson S.J. Ordained in Omaha

On June 9, 2006 Daniel Hendrickson S.J. ’89 was ordained to the priesthood at St. John’s Church on the Creighton University Campus. Bishop William Dendinger '57 of the Grand Island Nebraska Diocese conferred the sacrament. Bishop Dendinger is a relative of Fr. Daniel. Special masses of celebration by Fr. Daniel were held the following day at St. John’s Church in Omaha, June 18th at St. Agnes Church in San Francisco, and at his home parish at St. Patrick’s Church in Fremont, Nebraska on July 22 at 5:15.

Fr. Daniel studied theology at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkley, California. Fr. Daniel is a member of the Wisconsin province of the Society of Jesus. This fall he will begin a one-year assignment teaching philosophy in Tanzania.

Helping vest Fr. Daniel at the ordination was his brother Scott Hendrickson S.J. '89 who is currently studying theology in Spain. Scott is a member of the St. Louis province of the Society of Jesus.
